Abandoned Little Places

It looks familiar to my eyes, yet I can’t fully recognize it.

The shapes, the colors — they once belonged to me — but they’ve been abandoned for so long that they now exist only as fragments of memory.

Leaving bright colors behind became one of the silent signs of closing the doors to my inner child’s femininity.

Life demanded resilience — each brushstroke hardening me, cooling me, building layers between who I was and who I had to become.

The doors stayed closed for decades, yet even through time, what’s lost still feels familiar.

Soft yellows, pinks, and greens intertwine with quiet, maroon branches — echoing both vitality and distance.

This piece speaks to the delicate balance between memory and transformation, between what fades and what never truly leaves.

I LEFT WORDS BEHIND TO SPEAK IN COLOR AGAIN —

RAW, FEARLESS, LIKE THE CHILD I ONCE WAS,

SHAPING EMOTIONS INTO SOMETHING REAL AND TRUE.
